There have been many influences in the work of Alice Plummer, including Jean-Michel Basquiat, Helen Frankenthaler, Jackson Pollock and Vincent can Gogh. Her subject matter included aerial photography and landscapes. Alice’s artistic philosophy is to create intuitively and have an interrelationship between the colours, texture, materials and the artist. Using oil bars, ink, acrylic paint and crushed pumice stone on draughtsman’s film, Alice creates a dance of colourful shapes and forms in an atmospheric environment. A unique perspective into another world is ultimately created. With a MFA and an Honours BFA, Alice has taught Art History, Design and facilitated art workshops.
